About the role
- Accounting Service Representative for Nordic Insurance handling payments and invoice processing. Ensuring accurate financial reconciliations and providing exceptional customer service support.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process and verify payments received, reconcile bank deposits and verify deposit totals.
- Prepare, compile and dispatch invoices, statements, reports and cheques.
- Record and post broker billing statements and payments in the payment register and accounting systems.
- Reconcile basic accounts and resolve outstanding amounts.
- Review and resolve daily cash reports, correct and adjust journal entries and process cheque requisitions.
- Verify and post banking information, review new business, amend payment schedules, and process premium refunds for accounts.
- Handle unresolved issues regarding payments, disbursements, billing arrangements, payment methods and account discrepancies.
- Assist with queue calls periodically
Requirements
- College Diploma in accounting (asset) or any combination of equivalent education and experience
- At least 1 year experience in a similar role
- Customer service experience
- Can consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed
- Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills
- Bilingualism in French and English will be considered an asset.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
