About the role

  • Digital Marketing Executive managing the IoD’s marketing and communications plan across digital channels. Focusing on campaign performance and content creation for audience engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the IoD marketing and communications plan across all channels, including digital channels (website, email, social media etc)
  • Support the IoD Brand, and be a brand ambassador ensuring its proper implementation across all channels, digital, and print.
  • Support the overall Marketing and Communications KPIs, ensuring campaigns are delivering a strong ROI.
  • Manage, create and update website content via the CMS, ensuring it is engaging, accessible and SEO/GEO optimised.
  • Test and maintain related digital systems for relevant pages (e.g. workshops/events), ensuring integration with CRM (HubSpot) and payment platforms where applicable.
  • Develop, and create marketing collateral in-house, but also develop and manage utilising external suppliers.
  • Draft and publish engaging content across social media platforms.
  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
  • Support and run digital advertising campaigns (such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
  • Track performance using Google Analytics and other digital platforms to track targets, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Support the ongoing UX development of the IoD website and supporting the branding of the LMS.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to deliver marketing collateral and campaigns.
  • Monitor competitor and industry digital activity and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications or similar
  • 3+ years’ experience working within a corporate environment in a Digital Marketing/Marketing/Communications capacity
  • Proven experience across a range of digital marketing channels, including (but not limited to) paid media and display advertising, Google Ads (Search and Demand Gen), email marketing, and social media (both paid and organic)
  • Experience of managing a website CMS, inclusive of uploading and laying out content, overseeing a CMS, and being inclusive of accessibility, GEO and SEO
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using digital tools and platforms, inclusive of AI tools
  • Strong knowledge of the Irish business environment and the role and responsibilities of company directors
  • Good project management skills with ability to manage stakeholders across teams delivering on multiple objectives within given deadlines
  • Experience with web analytics tools like Google Analytics
  • Desirable: Experience using HubSpot CMS or HubSpot marketing tools
  • Awareness of the Digital Accessibility Act, and its impact on content development to ensure its accessible friendly
  • Designing collateral and video materials using online platforms such as Canva or similar design tools
  • Basic video or multimedia content creation
