Responsibilities
Support an on prem and cloud-based storage solution for the NIH
Monitor and maintain systems health
Execute on upgrade, configuration, and patching requirements
Serve as a resource for the NIDCD service desk and computer user community
Provide cloud, server, storage, backup and database systems administration
Ensure all hardware/software is kept up to date IAW NIH policies
Plan and monitor the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization
Ensure 99.6% or higher system uptime
Requirements
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must be able to obtain a US Public Trust Clearance
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
10+ years of IT experience involving customer support
4+ years of working experience administering MS Azure instances
Working knowledge of SCCM and MECM desired
Experience using and operating Dell/EMC solutions or equivalent technologies
Experience working with NetApp Storage solutions desired
Experience using and setting up VMware solutions necessary
Ability to install, move, cable physical hardware required
Prior Backup solution experience required
Prior experience working in a medical or scientific/research-based environment a plus
Powershell scripting desired (creating and executing scripts)
