About the role
- IT Global Sourcing and Category Expert driving strategic sourcing initiatives for ING's Global Procurement team. Managing contractors and fostering supplier relationships in an international context.
Responsibilities
- Identify global and local business needs, specifications and requirements for sourcing projects
- Share knowledge with Category Manager to develop and execute global category strategy
- Collaborate with global business partners to understand strategic priorities
- Lead end to end global e-sourcing initiatives including market research and proposal evaluations
- Manage third-party risk and ensure compliance with regulations
- Perform supplier relationship management, performance management, issue management and resolution
- Support Category Management with negotiations and establishing buying channels
- Play a role as strategic contributor in fields like ESG, procurement best practices, cost savings initiatives
Requirements
- Master degree or equivalent preferably in a relevant field, such as supply chain, (computer) engineering, business administration, or finance
- 4-5 years of experience in IT Procurement area and preferably in an international financial services provider organization
- Experienced subject matter expert in strategic sourcing and category management in IT Procurement in at least one domain of Software and SaaS, Hardware and IT Services
- Strong negotiation skills based on data and facts
- Experience in establishing global purchasing agreements directly with IT suppliers
- Ability to build strong relationships with procurement and business stakeholders
- Proactive, independent approach
- Very good organizational and communication skills
- Very good English skills (spoken and written) (B2/C1)
- Very good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and E-Sourcing tools; experience with ERP systems or procurement tools is preferred
