About the role
- Chief Technology Officer responsible for tech development at MarineXchange, enhancing its global cruise industry platform and leading international development teams.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the technological advancement of the platform and the software architecture
- Further development of modern development processes (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD)
- Introduction of new technologies and architectures (e.g., cloud architectures, microservices, AI-based solutions)
- Responsibility for release management, quality assurance and IT security
- Customer contact for technical coordination and problem resolution
- Leading, building and scaling international development teams
- Close collaboration with Product Management, Sales, Operations and Finance
- Management of external partners and technological collaborations
- Active co-shaping of the company’s strategic development together with executive management
Requirements
- Extensive experience in software development and system architecture of complex, cloud-based platform solutions
- Leadership experience at C-level or as Head of Development
- Experience building and scaling international development teams
- Strong knowledge of modern software architectures as well as agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps structures
- Ideally experienced with technologies such as Microsoft Blazor, microservices, big data or AI/ML
- Experience in technical project management as well as release and quality processes
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a pronounced hands-on mentality
- Fluent in English and German
