About the role

  • PR & Communications Assistant supporting Immediate’s communications team in London. Engaging with media to enhance brand visibility and manage content across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, content-creators, podcast hosts, and event organisers to secure coverage and opportunities for Immediate’s brands and key editorial spokes people.
  • Respond to press enquiries and support media outreach.
  • As part of the Consumer PR team, working with editorial teams to identify newsworthy content, data insights, and topical hooks for PR.
  • Assist in drafting press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, and social media content to support Consumer PR and Corporate communications activity.
  • Support the planning and execution of creative PR campaigns, including brand activations, events, and digital-first initiatives.
  • Help organise and deliver PR events and activations.
  • Create and upload content for the company’s intranet and corporate website.
  • Update and maintain Immediate’s social media channels, generating new ideas for content.
  • Track media coverage, compile reports, and evaluate campaign performance against KPIs.
  • Maintain databases and media monitoring tools.
  • Work closely with marketing, social, and talent teams to ensure PR activity is aligned with broader brand goals.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and what makes a good news story.
  • Excellent writing skills and a flair for storytelling and creating innovative campaign ideas across multiple formats.
  • An excellent eye for detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment, confident in building strong working networks across the business and with external partners and agencies.
  • Comfortable working across digital platforms, and exploring non-traditional PR opportunities, including brand activation and partnership across traditional and social media outlets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and social media skills.
  • Video and audio content creation experience would be advantageous
  • Experience with media monitoring and evaluation tools would be an advantage
