About the role

  • Prüfungsleiter auditing diverse client mandates in Hamburg for a modern tax and audit firm. Collaborating with partners and leading assistant teams to ensure compliance and quality in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Audit annual financial statements for small and medium-sized engagements
  • Audit annual financial statements for large engagements together with a partner
  • Supervise and coordinate assistants
  • Tailor audit approach, checklists and audit programs as needed
  • Document and test processes
  • Act as a sparring partner/advisor for clients
  • Perform special audits on request
  • Work in the office and at client sites; overnight stays required for a maximum of 10% of assignments

Requirements

  • Completed degree (e.g., business law or economics); Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 2–3 years of professional experience (e.g., in tax advisory, internal audit or external auditing)
  • Confident and highly motivated
  • Good German and English skills
