About the role

  • UX Design Intern at IJM, assisting in designing and improving digital experiences through research and prototyping. This internship offers hands-on UX design experience in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting usability audits and heuristic evaluations of existing products;
  • Creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups;
  • Developing user personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts;
  • Organizing and documenting research findings;
  • Maintaining design files;
  • Supporting team initiatives;
  • Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree must be in progress for DC/Remote Internships and applicants need to have completed at least two years of undergraduate study.
  • Familiarity with UX design principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of user research methods and usability testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
