About the role

  • Procurement specialist managing the procurement of goods and services for a leading research institute. Collaborating on complex purchasing processes and supporting scientific departments with expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for procuring goods, works, and services in compliance with public procurement law.
  • Advise staff on all matters related to purchasing and procurement.
  • Manage and support tendering/procurement procedures in SAP.
  • Communicate and negotiate with bidders, including in an international context, in German and English.
  • Review and evaluate submitted bids in collaboration with the scientific departments.

Requirements

  • Completed technical or commercial vocational training with related further qualifications, or a degree with a technical or technical-business background.
  • Ideally, professional experience in technical purchasing and knowledge of public procurement law.
  • Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proactive, strong communication skills, and a confident demeanor.
