Responsible for business development and oversight of Global Data Capability at IFM Investors. Focus on data governance, management, and delivery while leading strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the business development and oversight of Global Data Capability with the strategic management of data related activities including data governance, data management, delivery, data warehouse vendors, and market data feeds
Support ED, Data Capability with various initiatives as directed and provide leadership to Data, Digital & AI and the broader group
Lead the delivery of the data strategy, roadmap and workplan to strengthen IFM’s Data Capability
Provide guidance and leadership to the Data Capability and project team and drive an effective and sustainable data culture
Responsible for the development and management of data management and data governance, adhering to IFM’s enterprise architecture and ensuring adherence to global standards
Responsible for the data capability and management function with a clear source of truth, ownership of data quality & delivery, and IFM’s governance model
Increase awareness and promote acceptance of data governance best practices, standards and guidelines
Stakeholder engagement to develop, implement and execute upon the responsibilities of the role
Provide governance, guidance, and oversight to support firm-wide adherence to data policy, principles, guidelines and standards
Provide oversight and ongoing management of data warehouse and market data vendors
Provide governance, guidance, and oversight to enable the complete, accurate, and timely delivery of data to the business
Design and execution of a Follow the sun real time data model
In collaboration with IFM business units, determine the required (and or redundant) data feeds from providers to be integrated into downstream systems (e.g. front office system), if required
Attract and retain talent. Provide mentoring and coaching to the staff members in a pragmatic and collaborative style
Requirements
Experience (>15 years) within Financial Services industry – particularly in investment operations and Data Capability Delivery at an institutional level
Demonstrated experience in leading data strategy, planning and roadmaps to meet business outcomes
Experience in delivery of data insights, identifying business opportunities to grow or improve operational efficiency and servicing individual business functions
Experience in driving data driven transformation within large/complex and global environments
Experience with a global/international firm considered highly advantageous
Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, economics or related field
Extensive experience in a senior investment role, with a background in superannuation, funds management or asset consulting
Proven experience of leading, driving and championing the development and delivery of Data Capability function
Experience in the implementation and utilisation of data warehouses
Experience in Master Data Management/Data Governance
