About the role

  • Key Account Manager promoting IDEXX as external reference laboratory in veterinary practices across Iberia. Building relationships and driving sales strategies to meet revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Each day, you will have the responsibility to lead and manage activities by going into Veterinary practices to promote IDEXX as their external reference laboratory provider.
  • Communicating the true value of our products and services is at the heart of IDEXX’s commercial business.
  • Your goal? To work closely with practices to understand their reference laboratory needs, identifying and working with the team to achieve new business opportunities whilst building rapport with various stakeholders.
  • Working independently, you’ll be the point of reference for the reference laboratory – representing the commercial team.
  • Ensuring sales and revenue goals are met - you’ll build relationships, and develop the strategy and the execution plans for the reference laboratory initiatives.
  • It is essential for success that there is a strong collaboration with your internal commercial partners.

Requirements

  • A proven successful background in sales is essential however we would consider a veterinarian with a strong commercial mindset
  • In-clinic experience and/or scientific background is hugely advantageous
  • Ability to promote ideas persuasively, you’re motivating & problem solving is a key strength
  • You enjoy project management & experience working on large proposals is beneficial
  • Ability to develop and execute a sales strategy by account alongside other internal stakeholders
  • Fantastic organizational skills and time management
  • Flexibility for reactive travel & motivation for a varied workweek
  • Outstanding communication skills across several stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Candidates must be based in the Madrid area.
