Responsibilities
Each day, you will have the responsibility to lead and manage activities by going into Veterinary practices to promote IDEXX as their external reference laboratory provider.
Communicating the true value of our products and services is at the heart of IDEXX’s commercial business.
Your goal? To work closely with practices to understand their reference laboratory needs, identifying and working with the team to achieve new business opportunities whilst building rapport with various stakeholders.
Working independently, you’ll be the point of reference for the reference laboratory – representing the commercial team.
Ensuring sales and revenue goals are met - you’ll build relationships, and develop the strategy and the execution plans for the reference laboratory initiatives.
It is essential for success that there is a strong collaboration with your internal commercial partners.

Requirements
A proven successful background in sales is essential however we would consider a veterinarian with a strong commercial mindset
In-clinic experience and/or scientific background is hugely advantageous
Ability to promote ideas persuasively, you’re motivating & problem solving is a key strength
You enjoy project management & experience working on large proposals is beneficial
Ability to develop and execute a sales strategy by account alongside other internal stakeholders
Fantastic organizational skills and time management
Flexibility for reactive travel & motivation for a varied workweek
Outstanding communication skills across several stakeholders both internally and externally
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
