About the role

• Engineering Project Manager overseeing biogas and biomethane projects within Hungary. Ensuring projects meet technical, budget, and safety standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering design and integration of biogas/biomethane projects.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure that design meets all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
• Plan the technical scope of projects to align with company requirements.
• Closely work with the project development team providing all the technical information required during the permitting process.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of biogas/biomethane projects (including design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation).
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates and resolving issues as they arise.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Monitor and control project risks throughout all phases of the project.
• Support internal project team, ensuring that roles and responsibilities are clear, tasks are effectively delegated, and performance goals are met.
• Ensure all biogas and biomethane projects comply with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as local, regional, and international standards.
• Market research, gain in-depth knowledge of the biogas industry, including business models and local regulations.
• Ensure effective communication within the project team and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Provide regular project status reports to senior leadership, highlighting progress, issues, and solutions.
• Evaluate project performance and recommend process improvements to enhance future project delivery.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience, at least 2-3 years working with biogas/biomethane technology
• University degree in engineering
• Strong project management abilities with the capability to manage complex projects
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment
• Very responsive, flexible and ensures on-time delivery
• Native in Hungarian, fluent in English
• High motivation to achieve ambitious projects and handle pressure in a fast-paced working environment
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment
• B type of driving license
