Responsibilities
- Act as the strategic learning partner for your designated Business Unit
- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of training and development solutions
- Lead the Licence to Operate (LTO) strategy and Competent Operator Framework for your business area
- Design and deliver high-quality technical and leadership development programmes
- Manage competency assessments, development centres and professional reviews
- Work closely with senior leaders, SMEs and external providers to ensure learning is fit for purpose, future-focused and compliant
- Ensure training supports our Organisational Delivery Indicators (ODIs), safety outcomes and regulatory obligations
- Manage learning budgets effectively and deliver value for money
- Identify emerging risks and capability gaps, and proactively develop solutions
- Represent Anglian Water at industry forums and with awarding and accreditation bodies
- Act as a role model for innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Operational experience, ideally within water, utilities or a similar regulated environment
- Experience in training, learning and development – including competency frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders
- Experience working with external training providers and accreditation bodies
- A solid understanding of regulatory, safety and compliance requirements
- Project and budget management experience
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) – or the willingness to work towards it
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
- Experience in Leading and Motivating a team.
