  • Solution Architect at iA Financial Group driving transformative solutions in insurance, savings, and retirement sector. Leading architectural design and overseeing compliance with governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Translating business requirements into comprehensive, coherent solutions and ensuring deliveries align with the approved architecture design.
  • Defining and overseeing solution architecture across system, technology, and organizational dimensions.
  • Providing leadership in solution review governance and approving architecture decisions in accordance with corporate frameworks.
  • Ensuring seamless integration of solutions within existing ecosystems and proposing pragmatic workarounds when required.
  • Guaranteeing end-to-end solution integrity and quality, from design through delivery.
  • Exercising multidisciplinary leadership with delivery teams and internal and external partners.
  • Actively contributing to the management of project timelines, scope, and budgets.
  • Maintaining traceability of architecture decisions and ensuring the quality and ongoing update of technical documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with the organization’s architecture processes, methods, and governance frameworks.
  • Working closely with Enterprise Architecture to maintain corporate alignment and manage exemption requests when necessary.
  • Acting as application owner within the enterprise repository and ensuring its accuracy, in collaboration with the application portfolio manager.
  • Conducting continuous monitoring of architecture trends aligned with organizational standards and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering, Mathematics, or any other relevant field.
  • Has 10 years of experience in Information Technology, including a minimum of 5 years in solution architecture within complex environments.
  • Is recognized for strong leadership with multidisciplinary teams composed of internal and external resources.
  • Stands out for the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously with rigor and a global perspective.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Possesses strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Shows a high tolerance for ambiguity, uncertainty, and frequent change.
  • Has solid knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Demonstrates strong experience in designing high-volume, high-availability systems.
  • Has good knowledge of strategic IT technologies and SDLC, DevOps, Agile, MVP, LEAN, and ITIL practices.
  • Demonstrates strong expertise in Salesforce and MuleSoft (considered assets).
  • Is fully proficient in French, both spoken and written.
  • Has an intermediate level of English, as the role involves weekly collaboration with English-speaking partners, vendors, and internal teams through meetings, emails, and documentation.
