About the role

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the leadership of a team of 10 employees
- Conceptual, organizational, personnel and financial responsibility for the Finance department
- Continuing the change process / overseeing the digitization of the finance function
- Supporting the implementation of an electronic document management system
- Advising and supporting department management on strategic matters, financial planning and value creation
- Designing processes and preparing cost calculations for grant-funded projects
- Coordination and negotiation with financial service providers
- Coordinating the internal preparation of the annual financial statements
- Evaluating and modernizing organization-wide financial processes and policies
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration or a related field with a focus on cost accounting / controlling / financial management
- At least 5 years of professional experience in financial management, consulting or controlling
- Excellent skills in MS Excel / Excel Pivot and/or other controlling and planning software
- Experience in digitalization processes and change management
- Very good knowledge of and confident use of at least one common accounting software (ideally Sage100 or DATEV)
- Solid knowledge of commercial and tax law; knowledge of grant/subsidy law is an advantage
