About the role

  • Deputy Chief of Staff providing key administrative support to optimize university operations under the Chief of Staff. Manages events and strategic initiatives for the Office of the Provost, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as key advisor to and acts on behalf of the Chief of Staff providing critical and high-level support to optimize time.
  • Assists the Chief of Staff in the management of the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Provost.
  • Coordinates events, programs, and special initiatives sponsored by the Office of the Provost.
  • Supports preparation for major institutional meetings, leadership convenings, and engagements involving the Provost.
  • Manages requests for the Provost's participation in events and speaking engagements.
  • Establishes and maintains effective practices, processes, policies and quality control measures.

Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • Seven years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in higher education administration, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive project coordination experience.
  • Strong judgment and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential matters.
