About the role

  • Reliability Engineer responsible for RCM program and maintenance initiatives in mining industry. Enhancing equipment reliability and collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation and improvement of the RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) program
  • Lead RCM, FMEA, and RCA to eliminate top chronic failures and production losses
  • Build criticality assessments and spares strategies in collaboration with Supply/Parts
  • Develop and optimize PM strategies using data
  • Create equipment reliability models and performance dashboards
  • Maintain and improve equipment bills of materials and failure coding standards
  • Partner with planners/schedulers to sequence work that reduces downtime
  • Validate job plans and scopes for critical work

  • Specify quality criteria and precision maintenance standards
  • Support shutdown/outage scope selection and post-event reviews
  • Facilitate cross-functional Defect Elimination forums
  • Recommend engineering changes utilizing internal systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related field)
  • 3–7 years in reliability/maintenance engineering within mining or heavy industry
  • Exposure to mobile assets (Surface or Underground) and subsequent maintenance activities
  • Demonstrated application of RCM, FMEA, RCA (5-Whys, Fishbone, Apollo/TapRooT)
  • Proven track record improving availability, MTBF, and maintenance cost performance
  • Good command of verbal and written English.
