About the role
- Reliability Engineer responsible for RCM program and maintenance initiatives in mining industry. Enhancing equipment reliability and collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the implementation and improvement of the RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) program
- Lead RCM, FMEA, and RCA to eliminate top chronic failures and production losses
- Build criticality assessments and spares strategies in collaboration with Supply/Parts
- Develop and optimize PM strategies using data
- Create equipment reliability models and performance dashboards
- Maintain and improve equipment bills of materials and failure coding standards
- Partner with planners/schedulers to sequence work that reduces downtime
- Validate job plans and scopes for critical work

- Support shutdown/outage scope selection and post-event reviews
- Facilitate cross-functional Defect Elimination forums
- Recommend engineering changes utilizing internal systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related field)
- 3–7 years in reliability/maintenance engineering within mining or heavy industry
- Exposure to mobile assets (Surface or Underground) and subsequent maintenance activities
- Demonstrated application of RCM, FMEA, RCA (5-Whys, Fishbone, Apollo/TapRooT)
- Proven track record improving availability, MTBF, and maintenance cost performance
- Good command of verbal and written English.
