About the role

• Senior Backend Developer designing and implementing complex applications for Hob by Horse GmbH. Collaborating on agile projects and developing plugins, with a focus on backend development.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing complex, scalable applications.
• Taking responsibility for agile development, release, and deployment processes (e.g., Git workflow).
• Independently developing custom plugins.
• Programming interfaces (API integrations).
• Supporting and advancing your colleagues in Backend Development.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6).
• Solid experience with well-known frameworks and technologies such as Symfony, Laravel, Doctrine ORM, Node.js, Vue.js, MySQL, MongoDB, and RabbitMQ.
• Proficient with PHPStorm, debugging, and unit testing.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence is an advantage.
• Ideally experienced with agile development methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
• Basic knowledge of e-commerce systems such as Shopware, OXID eSales, Ibexa, or comparable platforms is helpful.
• A drive to learn new technologies and continuously develop professionally.
• A passion for clean, semantically correct source code.
