About the role
- Plant Lead Engineer driving technical deliverables for HVDC projects and overseeing design while coordinating with internal departments. Leading the team and ensuring project success based in France.
Responsibilities
- As the Plant Lead Engineer, you lead the technical vision and deliverables for HVDC onshore converter stations and offshore platforms.
- You coordinate with various departments to oversee equipment layout and design, manage auxiliary systems, and ensure quality.
- You lead your team, manage technical risks, and represent the plant/installation discipline in client meetings.
- You have a broad technical understanding and take responsibility for the plant design for HVDC.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
- Several years of experience in the energy sector, electrical engineering, electromechanical design, auxiliary power design, or civil design for large-scale projects.
- Experience with HVDC technology or a related field such as substations, high-voltage products, or offshore wind connections.
- Hands-on experience with site work, installation and/or commissioning is an advantage.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
- Good proficiency in French (minimum B1 level or equivalent) is required.
