About the role
- Distribution Transformer Application Engineer at Hitachi Energy leading application engineering & business development activities related to transformer portfolio. Responsibilities include customer support, training, and strategic marketing inputs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the regional Application Engineering & Business Development activities related for the transformer portfolio
- Organize and conduct Customer Technical Trainings (CTT’s)
- Attend industry conferences, customer visits, specification influencing recommendations & reviews
- Engage factory and tender engineering teams to develop and deploy trust, acceptance and team integration
- Support the customer during FAT and post-order problem-solving
- Develop and implement KPI’s and targets for the Transformer portfolio
- Ensure all Customer interactions are reported in SFDC
- Provide customer feedback as well as strategic marketing inputs to GPG / GPMM
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- A master’s degree or Accreditation or participation in industry technical bodies (CIGRE, IEC etc.) is a plus
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical roles like transformer design, technical interaction, directly with Customers
- Exposure to the sales and order execution process is a plus
- Should have technical skills in transformers and be able to connect the technical teams to the marketing teams in the Demand countries within the HUB.
- Be willing to travel ~ 35%
