About the role
- Senior Consultant in IT Forensics and Incident Response providing technical expertise in cybersecurity incidents. Collaborating with clients to analyze and mitigate threats to IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage and respond as part of a team to attacks affecting our clients' IT infrastructure, participating in forensic analysis, containment, emergency operations, and recovery
- Provide technical expertise for incident handling — remotely and on-site at client locations
- Investigate forensic questions, use technical analyses to identify attack vectors, and give clients a clear overview of the situation
- Preserve and analyze digital evidence suitable for legal proceedings using current tools
- Specialize in areas such as operating system, network, and cloud forensics, malware analysis, technical recovery and restart planning, and more
Requirements
- Broad knowledge of IT environments, cybersecurity, and attack chains
- Enthusiasm for technology and for analyzing complex systems and situations
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Security, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience; certifications in IT forensics, penetration testing, or auditing are a plus
- Determination to help affected organizations recover from cyber crises and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in German
