About the role

• Consultant in IT Security focusing on securing customer's IT environments against unauthorized access and complex attacks. Engage in proactive and reactive incidents, working on various security topics.

Responsibilities

• Use your practical skills to secure the IT environments of our client companies against unauthorized third-party access and complex attacks — both remotely and on-site
• Combine proactive activities (design, hardening, hands-on security assessments) with reactive tasks in Incident Response
• Keep an eye on overarching system and network architectures as well as technical configuration details to protect the customer environment
• Work actively on current topics such as Cloud Security and critical infrastructure (KRITIS) and help shape new projects
• Support projects from requirements analysis and planning through execution, including presenting results

Requirements

• Professional experience in an IT environment (e.g., administration, development, networking, or IT coordination) and curiosity to try out current tools, technologies, and unconventional approaches
• Broad technical knowledge across different areas (e.g., how networks work, operating system fundamentals, cloud, Active Directory, databases, web technologies)
• Enthusiasm for IT security and initial project experience (e.g., developing security concepts, hardening systems or network components, working as DevSecOps, or in security administration)
• Experience in clearly preparing and communicating technically complex topics in the form of reports and presentations in German
