About the role

  • Endpoint Automation & System Engineer developing automation frameworks for modern endpoint platforms at Heidelberg Materials. Collaborating on high-impact engineering projects with a focus on modernizing workplace ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, and maintain REST APIs enabling seamless cross-platform communication
  • Develop workflow automation using PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript with tools such as n8n and ServiceNow
  • Build and scale IaC with Terraform, including modular architecture and state management
  • Support and evolve Microsoft Intune-based endpoint environments across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS
  • Operate automated software patching and third-party deployment services
  • Contribute to containerized solutions using Docker, support CI/CD and Git-based workflows
  • Ensure infrastructure security, vulnerability management, and service reliability
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate on high-impact engineering projects

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of REST API design, integration, and troubleshooting
  • Solid experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code in enterprise environments
  • Experience automating cloud or hybrid infrastructure services
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language: PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Practical experience with Docker, Git (branching, PRs, code reviews), and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience managing endpoints with Microsoft Intune and MECM/SCCM
  • Strong collaboration skills, analytical thinking, and ownership of technical initiatives
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of MSI (.msi, .mst, .msm) and MSIX packaging formats
  • Experience managing both thin and thick client environments
  • Broad IT understanding to troubleshoot cross-domain issues
  • Knowledge of Microsoft EntraID, Conditional Access, and MFA
