About the role

  • Prüfungsleiter managing audits and guiding assistants for accounting firm. Focus on quality assurance and stakeholder satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • You independently audit annual financial statements of small and medium-sized clients from a wide range of industries and audit the financial statements of larger clients and group accounts together with a partner.
  • You have assistants at your disposal whom you supervise and coordinate. Together you monitor the substantive workflow, formal requirements, deadlines and your budget.
  • You tailor your audit approach, checklists and audit program (AP-Comfort) to the specific requirements, client size and client structure.
  • You document processes, test them for effectiveness and audit the internal control system in compliance with legal requirements.
  • You act as a sparring partner for your clients, who can rely fully on your commitment, reliability and personalised advice.
  • If interested, you can conduct special audits, e.g. energy law audits, packaging compliance audits, MABV audits (Broker and Developer Ordinance), and you are welcome to contribute to sustainability reporting.
  • You will spend approximately half of your working time in the office and the other half at client sites (maximum 10% requiring overnight stays).

Requirements

  • Completed degree, e.g. in Business Law or Economics; a Master’s degree is welcome.
  • At least 2–3 years of professional experience, for example in tax advisory, internal audit or public accounting/auditing.
  • Confident and highly motivated, you audit financial statements and client processes with your assistants, partly independently and partly together with a partner.
  • Client satisfaction is a matter of course for you. With enthusiasm you adapt flexibly and individually to different personalities, issues and processes.
  • You are passionate about continuously learning new things across a variety of industries (e.g. retail, manufacturing, real estate project developers, food, automotive, construction, industrial companies).
  • You are used to working independently while adhering to budgets, deadlines, formal requirements and substantive legal regulations.
  • You have good German and English language skills.
