About the role

  • Accountant responsible for financial operations and year-end closings for non-profit organizations at a social enterprise. Collaborating with various partners and supporting internal projects.

Responsibilities

  • Timely posting and processing of day-to-day financial transactions for non-profit organizations
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for both simple and complex non-profit entities
  • Point of contact for employees, donors, partners, auditors and public authorities
  • Support for the accounting team on recognition, valuation and presentation matters
  • Participation in and leadership of various internal projects

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification, e.g., tax clerk, business administrator or certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
  • Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting
  • Proficient with MS Office applications; knowledge of MS-Dynamics NAV / Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working in a team
  • Service-oriented mindset and approach
  • Interest in promoting civic engagement
