About the role
- Commercial Analyst for Home Claims at Hastings Direct. Driving commercial initiatives and managing supplier performance to improve customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor KPIs using internal and external MI, identifying underperformance and supporting improvement strategies
- Assist with budget planning, reforecasting, and development of business cases for operational and commercial changes
- Deliver accurate MI reports and contribute to commercial presentations and performance reviews
- Lead or support commercial projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery
- Provide MI insights for supplier performance, driving improvements across the supply chain
- Champion good customer outcomes by challenging processes that do not meet expectations and ensuring customer interests are central to decision-making
- Uphold compliance with FCA regulations, complete mandatory training, and maintain role competence
Requirements
- Strong analytical, numerical, and data interpretation skills with proficiency in SQL
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience in Microsoft Office tools
- Skilled in data visualization using Excel and Power BI to communicate insights effectively
- Ability to synthesise complex data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
- Commercially focused, results-driven, and adaptable within fast-paced, matrix environments
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and personal development
