About the role
- Backend Software Developer at Hagerty Consulting helping build and support AWS infrastructure and platforms. Engaging in API development and backend system integration for solution enhancement.
Responsibilities
- Implement and support multiple AWS environments utilizing AWS technology stacks, including event driven architecture, gateways, lambdas, AWS SDK, SAM, etc.
- Design/develop/build/test APIs to integrate our growing cloud (vendor) platforms and handle process automation.
- Build/execute test frameworks, plans, and software that is secured appropriately based on security best practices.
- Assist in the creating and furthering automation builds, testing, and auditing capabilities.
- Create documentation as needed (process flows, architecture, procedures, security procedures, test plans, code reviews, etc.).
- Assist with backend platform integrations and implementations.
- Build Batch processes as needed.
- Provide production support for developed solutions and enhance/refactor existing solutions as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of coding, software development, cloud technologies, or related experience required
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience and aptitude with at least one backend programming language, such as JavaScript, and strong understanding of API development/utilization
- Knowledgeable with cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Prior work with a relational database and associated languages, such as SQL
- Experience with development tools (Visual Studio, Postman, Git, etc.) preferred
