Business Development Manager for supply chain solutions at GXO Logistics. Actively prospect and build client relationships to provide logistics solutions across various industries.
Responsibilities
Actively prospect, pursue and qualify potential clients, implement successful selling strategies/technique to identify Leads and potential Opportunities
Build and manage executive level relationships with internal stakeholders and account owners
Define and propose specific approaches to meet and exceed customer needs
Collect relevant customer information for the RFI/RFP/RFQ and prepare necessary documents
Prepare and propose logistics solutions to prospects and clients
Revert to a network of potential customers within different industry segments (e.g. Fashion, Beauty, FMCG, Technology, Retail etc.)
Build and maintain exceptional customer relations to solve their problems
Follow up on customer communications in a timely and professional manner
Prepare and attend client meetings
Respond to incoming inquiries
Prepare various forms and reports for sales department
Support in organizing marketing events, trade shows, fairs, meetings
Ensure activities are aligned with global/regional sector strategy
Requirements
min. Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of working experience in Supply Chain / Contract Logistics
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal (German and English as a minimum)
Excellent planning and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter
Computer skills, proficient in MS Office (Power Point, Word, Outlook, Excel) and experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software
Self-dependent, entrepreneurial, goal-orientated and accurate way of working within cross-functional and international teams
Good understanding of contract logistics operations
