About the role

  • Managing Consultant collaborating with U.S. Department of Transportation to enhance safety and efficiency in transportation. Leading projects and mentoring junior consultants while managing client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Guidehouse supports the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) to execute its mission to ensure our nation has the safest, most efficient and modern transportation system in the world.
  • Lead a team in the development of high-quality client deliverables that meet client requirements, setting high standards of quality and timely delivery
  • Develop detailed project schedules to monitor performance
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues
  • Develop detailed status reports for individual programs
  • Work with diverse stakeholders to fully understand business requirements and interdependencies
  • Work with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budget
  • Lead the facilitation of client meetings, work groups, or interviews
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of overall work experience.
  • Experience working in public transit.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder facilitation skills.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks to align with changing client needs and respond to ad-hoc requests
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
