Responsibilities
- Guidehouse is seeking a data scientist to support client engagements through data analysis, visualization, prototyping, dashboarding and insight development.
- The analytic support will be focused on describing epidemiologic patterns, causes, and effects of health and disease conditions in defined populations.
- This role involves informing epidemiologic study design, analyzing, and interpreting health data to inform decision making, disease prevention strategies, and policy development.
- Collaborate with clients to design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support client decision-making.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Support client presentations and deliverables by clearly communicating analytical findings.
- Collaborate with project teams, leadership, and client stakeholders to support project objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
- A minimum of ONE (1) year of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics
- Demonstrated hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL (or similar query languages)
- Experience translating business questions into analytical solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage tasks independently and work effectively in a team-based consulting environment
- Willingness to travel as required by client engagements
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'PUBLIC TRUST'; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
