About the role

• Software Engineer specializing in MDM and ETL processing for Gartner's Data Management team. Focusing on cloud-based solutions and innovative data pipelines for internal and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the technical design, development, and deployment of innovative data solutions.
• Your expertise in AWS Cloud, SQS, SQL, Glue, Python, PostgreSQL, and Agile methodologies will guide the team towards successful project completion.
• Analyze business requirements, design solutions, and implement functionality related to Data Management.
• Build and maintain Data Pipelines using SQL, Ataccama and AWS technologies like Glue and Python.
• Build and configure web services, Event Driven Architecture components.
• Utilize Master Data Management tools like Ataccama and in-house tools to ensure filtering, mastering, and data quality rules are appropriately enabled and adequately tested.
• Engage in day-to-day data operations involving troubleshooting data pipelines and monitoring and maintaining job schedules.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to align technical and business requirements.

Requirements

• Strong IT professional with minimum 2 years of experience in cloud-based data engineering, preferably in ETL and AWS.
• The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must have: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
• Experience with ETL processes and tools.
• Proficient in utilizing AWS services.
• Excellent SQL and data analytics skills – ability to look at complex stored procedures and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Experience in PostgreSQL or similar cloud-based DB.
• Nice to have: Experience working with AWS Glue.
• Experience in Data Governance, Data Architecture, and Data Operations.
• Good knowledge of cloud technology AWS, Azure, and exposure to cloud tools.
• Proficiency in either Python/Java programming.
• Basic understanding of MDM fundamentals and domains.
• Experience with Atacama would be a huge advantage.
