About the role
- Scientist utilizing up-to-date molecular biology techniques in a high-throughput environment for RNA vaccine development at GSK. Focused on generating and testing new vaccine candidates.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise in DNA cloning, in-vitro RNA transcription and cell-based assay characterization of RNA vaccine candidates
- Design and develop new assays and technologies to support RNA vaccine generation and evaluation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the translation of research findings into vaccine development
- Stay updated with the latest scientific advancements in the field of RNA vaccines
- Assist in the preparation of research findings for internal reports and publication in scientific journals
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards in the development and testing of RNA vaccines
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork and scientific excellence
Requirements
- PhD. with 0+ years of experience, Masters with 4+ years of experience or Bachelors with 6+ years of experience in cell and molecular biology, RNA biochemistry, or a related biotechnology field
- Two or more years of experience in molecular biology and cloning, including gibson cloning, mutagenesis, RNA production and characterization
- Two or more years of experience in RNA in vitro transcription techniques and familiarity with RNA based vaccine technology
- Two or more years of experience in cell-based assays using flow cytometry and high-content imaging
- Two or more years of experience with common molecular biology software e.g. Geneious.
