About the role
- Deployment Site Practitioner supporting Oracle EHR implementation across Veterans Affairs hospitals. Responsible for discovery efforts, technical readiness, and client engagement with significant travel.
Responsibilities
- Help support the full lifecycle deployment and implementation of the Oracle EHR system throughout Veterans Affairs hospitals.
- Responsible for performing/organizing discovery efforts at various hospitals & clinics related to End User Devices (EUDs), interfaced systems, & Data Drops & Power Outlets (DDPO).
- Perform post-discovery analysis to inform technical scope and requirements.
- Build an understanding of the client's list of standard capabilities, devices, and interfaces to perform meaningful discovery and gap analysis.
- Support device procurement tracking & logistics and own relationships with local site IT leaders and other technology / network / engineering groups.
- Overall support the technical readiness of a transition to a new EHR, which may involve external vendor management/coordination, cutover planning & support, and project management of engineering activities.
- Significant client interaction is expected, with semi-frequent travel expected to hospitals and clinics in various geographies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Previous hospital/clinic assessment experience preferred
- Familiarity with system interfaces & medical device interfaces preferred
- Previous Oracle EHR exposure HIGHLY PREFERRED
