Junior Financial Controller assisting with financial processes related to renewable energy projects. Supporting budgeting, cost monitoring, and KPI reports in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of monthly closing consolidation package & POC analysis.
Support variance analysis by gathering data and reviewing fluctuations under supervision.
Help with data collection for the annual budget and collaborate with senior team members.
Monitor actual costs vs budgeted costs and provide basic insights.
Prepare basic KPI reports under guidance for various business units.
Track accounts receivable and payables, ensuring data accuracy.
Follow and assist in the implementation of financial procedures in collaboration with the team.
Maintain an updated Chart of Accounts with support from senior finance members.
Assist in daily treasury functions like payments processing and reconciliation.
Support the preparation of cash flow reports and investment performance summaries.
Collaborate with the Finance Corporate Team on reporting tasks.
Participate in the annual audit review and learn from addressing identified issues.
Help with new systems or ERP integration and contribute to finance projects as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and Accountancy Qualification or a Degree with a major in Finance or Economics,
1 to 3 years of experience in Finance,
Autonomy-Develop confidence in handling routine financial tasks independently, but with access to guidance when needed.
Proactivity
Basic experience in Financial Modelling / Analytical Tools
Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office, and BI tools – Learn and apply fundamental functions within these tools, with training and supervision.
Understanding of financial and accounting principles (IFRS & Local GAAP) and processes – Develop foundational knowledge, apply key concepts to reporting and analysis, and continue learning through practice.
Adaptability in a decentralized finance structure – Learn to work within different business units, understand reporting requirements, and support central finance functions.
Communication capabilities (written & oral, including English) – Clearly present financial findings, write concise reports, and engage effectively in discussions.
Developing an analytical mindset & self-starter approach – Show initiative, ask insightful questions, and demonstrate problem-solving skills with supervision.
Basic knowledge of the renewables industry (if applicable) – Familiarize with industry-specific financial processes, terminology, and challenges.
