About the role

  • Business Development Manager focusing on client relationships and sponsorship revenues in real assets events. Collaborating with internal teams and driving new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and exceed sponsorship, advertising, and tailored marketing revenues
  • Engage regularly with key accounts to align solutions with their business development goals, utilizing face-to-face, Teams, or phone interactions
  • Prospect and secure new accounts through networking, campaigns, cold calls, and lead generation channels
  • Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities between awards, events, and subscriptions
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, programming, marketing, editorial) to deliver and grow revenue streams
  • Become an expert in both sales processes and real asset finance related to IJGlobal and Green Street
  • Turn client feedback into actionable strategies to drive new business, product development and address competitor risks
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records for pipeline tracking and business insights
  • Provide regular progress reports and forecasts to sales management
  • Partner with marketing and product teams to convert leads and create tailored sales opportunities
  • Travel for client meetings and events to foster relationships and generate sales
  • Ensure timely invoice payments by coordinating with finance and credit control teams
  • Meet and exceed revenue and client engagement targets, thriving under pressure

Requirements

  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) with high numeracy proficiency
  • Proven track record of driving new business development opportunities, preferably in emerging markets
  • Ability to be immersed in a collaborative culture where success is shared and celebrated
  • Are able to be disciplined with strong time management capacity alongside great work and admin habits
  • Excellent presentation and telephone sales abilities
  • You are highly motivated, eager to learn, and coachable, with a great attitude
  • Confidence in engaging with senior-level influencers, budget holders, and decision-makers
  • Desirable: Solid understanding of the real estate sector
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable team player who thrives independently when needed
  • Persistent and professional sales approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experienced in using Salesforce effectively
