About the role

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers (physical and virtual), storage systems, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and enterprise applications.
- Ensure the stability, performance, and security of IT systems through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and optimization while using the Jira system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-related issues, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration standards, operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Administer and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security policies.
- Enforce and practice the GITC framework to stay audit compliant.
- Collaborate with network engineers, security teams, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration and operation of all IT components.
- Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
- Monitor system capacity and plan for future infrastructure needs.
- Implement and maintain security best practices to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) to improve efficiency.
- Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
- Maintain assets and hardware and laptop deployments.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role managing and supporting IT infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and administration.
- Cyber management experience.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VDI).
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and storage solutions.
- Experience with scripting languages for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Solid understanding of security best practices and principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
