About the role
- Experienced IT System Administrator for Windows Server and networks in a small team environment supporting diverse customer IT infrastructures.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve complex IT incidents
- Manage and administer Windows Server environments
- Maintain Active Directory and user structures
- Operate Terminal Server and Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments
- Administer Microsoft 365 / Entra ID / Exchange Online
- Support networks, firewalls, and VPN connections
- Implement backup and security concepts
- Analyze existing IT infrastructures at customer sites
- Execute technical aspects of IT projects and system migrations
- Document systems and actions taken
Requirements
- Experience in Windows Server administration
- Experience with Active Directory
- Experience with Microsoft 365 / Entra ID
- Experience with Terminal Server / Remote Desktop Services
- Knowledge of networking (routing, VLANs, VPN)
- Experience in virtualization (e.g., Hyper-V or VMware)
- Knowledge of backup systems
- Understanding of IT security fundamentals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑analysis skills
- Vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or equivalent experience
- Several years of experience in system administration or in an IT systems house
- Good knowledge of Windows Server environments
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and modern cloud services
- Understanding of networks and IT infrastructure
