About the role

  • Security/Receptionist at The Glenn Hopkins, providing reception service and emergency response. Responsible for ensuring safety and communication in the building.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure residents receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention.
  • Emergency response to both tenants and building, following prescribed policies and procedures.
  • Keep building secure by performing periodic rounds, entrance/exit checks, and by keeping watch on monitors located near the security desk.
  • Complete light maintenance tasks such as cleaning of common areas of building, maintaining sidewalks in case of winter weather, and assisting tenants with minor problems in apartments.
  • Insure that tenants and guests follow rules/policies of the campus.
  • Light clerical duties.
  • Ensure proper follow-through on all directives, bulletins and/or requests from Campus Administrator, Office Manager or other personnel.
  • Maintain a good flow of communication with other personnel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with one (1) year security experience.
  • Ability to relate to all residents, visitors and vendors in a patient, compassionate and courteous manner.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be able to write detailed reports.
  • Dependability: set a good personal example of attitude and performance and has the ability to work with minimal supervision.
