About the role
- Founding Visual Designer responsible for visual identity and storytelling across various platforms. Collaborating closely with founders and creators to shape the brand experience.
Responsibilities
- Own Grand’s visual and motion identity across brand, marketing, and product storytelling
- Design and produce brand films, motion graphics, social content, and launch materials
- Define and evolve our motion language — how the brand moves, transitions, and communicates
- Work hands-on across motion, animation, video, and visual design
- Use AI as a default creative accelerator for ideation, iteration, and production
- Collaborate closely with the entire team to tell the product story through motion and visual storytelling
- Raise the quality of everything we put into the world through relentless execution
- Build visual systems that scale across channels (web, social, video, product moments)
- Rapidly concept, prototype, and ship creative ideas — from scrappy experiments to polished deliverables
- Balance speed and taste — moving fast without lowering the bar.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering high-quality visual, motion, or brand work that has shipped into the real world. We care far more about what you’ve made than how long you’ve been doing it
- Strong motion and animation skills (non-negotiable)
- A portfolio showing brand expression, motion, video, and storytelling
- Exceptional visual taste and attention to detail
- Comfortable working as a strong IC in a fast-moving environment
- Able to move from idea → execution without hand-holding
- Confident collaborating with founders, engineers, and marketers
- AI-first mindset, using modern tools to accelerate creative output
- Bias toward shipping real work, not polishing decks or process
- You care deeply about quality, but are pragmatic enough to know when it’s time to ship.
