About the role

  • UX/UI Digital Design Intern at Toyota Insurance creating marketing and user/customer experiences and collaborating with design teams to deliver projects.

Responsibilities

  • You will use your creativity and passion to create compelling marketing and user/customer experiences to engage our target customers.
  • Develop design skills to deliver projects and campaigns on time, and with a high degree of execution.
  • You will have the opportunity to collaborate and share your vision with a team of designers, developers, marketing leads, and product owners.
  • Work with our design, development, and advertising teams for internal and external projects.
  • Create graphics for client facing materials and marketing efforts.
  • Participate in creative research and brainstorming process to develop unique ideas and concepts for marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct photo research and editing.
  • Layout, edit, and clean up proposals, pitches and marketing assets while adhering to Toyota & Lexus brand guidelines.
  • Work alongside the creative/marketing team in conceptualizing and designing engaging email templates, display ads, web banners and other digital marketing materials.
  • Assist in creating and cleaning up Toyota and Lexus branded word documentation and PowerPoints.
  • Brainstorm and design infographics and visuals for blog and social media marketing.
  • Assist in creating digital assets for Toyota app offer cards and hero images for emails.
  • Creating visual aids and digital assets for presentations and meetings.
  • Aiding in designing for and evolving our dealership marketing materials and kits, including digital assets, table toppers, hot sheets, standing sleeves, referral cards, direct mailers, and retractable banners.
  • Communicate and illustrate design ideas and concepts.
  • Assist with establishing new brand standards and guidelines.
  • Prepare production ready files for execution of digital and print designs.
  • Adhere to Toyota and Lexus style standards (fonts, brand voice, colors, design system, and images).
  • Participate in creative research process to develop unique ideas and concepts.
  • Assist with content development and ADHOC requests.
  • Support UX/UI research and design process.
  • Support UX/UI Manager with visuals, wireframes, mockup, and project planning for new web pages, maintenance on existing web pages, developing new sitemaps, and quote flow experiences.

Requirements

  • Intern: 0-1 year of experience designing and delivering digital/physical products in cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of graphic design principles for company collateral and a strong portfolio that demonstrates graphic design skills, and competency.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to successfully develop and deliver products for market.
  • Strong knowledge of typography, layout, color sense, and eye for visual composition.
  • Understanding of graphic design principles for company collateral and brand guidelines.
  • Ability to coordinate and track user stories, use cases, and design deliverables.
  • Experience creating and enhancing presentations.
  • Interest in marketing, advertising, and how design interacts with both.
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch and like design software.
  • Working knowledge of AI toolsets (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, DALL-E, and like AI reference tools).
  • Ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and creative.
