About the role
- Senior Routing Advanced Analytics Analyst developing advanced route optimization plans for Grainger. Collaborating with Operations and Engineering teams to align optimization models with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate trade-offs between cost, speed, service quality, and network resiliency using scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis.
- Build simulation and forecasting models to test routing strategies under varying demand and network conditions.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover routing inefficiencies and optimization opportunities.
- Build & validate advanced analytical and statistical models including but not limited to forecasting, optimization, and simulation such as linear programming or integer programming.
- Participate/lead discussions with representatives to adapt the planning system to accommodate business unit needs.
- Work with data using R, Python, Julia, or Gurobi.
- Deploy models and solutions using Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Apache Airflow.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
- Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- 5 + years' experience in related field, supply chain experience highly preferred.
- Passion for using languages to work with large-scale data (e.g. SQL, R, Python).
