About the role
- Senior Advanced Analytics Analyst on the KeepStock team at Grainger, providing expertise in inventory planning and optimization with a focus on analytics, forecasting, and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Aid in developing supply chain strategies to meet customer service initiatives and meet inventory performance targets for KeepStock customers
- Build models that predict the impact on demand and recommend inventory purchase quantities to ensure we maintain high service levels throughout the promotion
- Build & validate advanced analytical and statistical models including but not limited to forecasting, optimization, and simulation such as linear programming or integer programming
- Participate/lead discussions with representatives to adapt the planning system to accommodate business unit needs
- Work with data using R, Python, Julia, or Gurobi
- Deploy models and solutions using Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Apache Airflow
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Statistics or related field
- Master’s degree or equivalent preferred
- 5 + years' experience in related field, supply chain experience highly preferred
- Passion for using languages to work with large-scale data (e.g. SQL, R. Python)
- Availability to be in the office two to three days a week either in Lake Forest or the Merchandise Mart.
