About the role

  • Senior Advanced Analytics Analyst on the KeepStock team at Grainger, providing expertise in inventory planning and optimization with a focus on analytics, forecasting, and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in developing supply chain strategies to meet customer service initiatives and meet inventory performance targets for KeepStock customers
  • Build models that predict the impact on demand and recommend inventory purchase quantities to ensure we maintain high service levels throughout the promotion
  • Build & validate advanced analytical and statistical models including but not limited to forecasting, optimization, and simulation such as linear programming or integer programming
  • Participate/lead discussions with representatives to adapt the planning system to accommodate business unit needs
  • Work with data using R, Python, Julia, or Gurobi
  • Deploy models and solutions using Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Apache Airflow

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Statistics or related field
  • Master’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 5 + years' experience in related field, supply chain experience highly preferred
  • Passion for using languages to work with large-scale data (e.g. SQL, R. Python)
  • Availability to be in the office two to three days a week either in Lake Forest or the Merchandise Mart.
