About the role

  • Java Developer joining Globalweb’s tech team, responsible for software development and system maintainability. Collaborating in agile sprints for high-quality deliverables in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Join the development team, taking ownership of work items for development in each Sprint.
  • Perform software development activities in a multidisciplinary way, focusing on product quality and maintainability, including requirements, analysis and design, programming, configuration management, testing, and deployment.
  • Manage your own work and promptly inform the team of any delays or impediments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Data Processing, Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Engineering, or other Information Technology fields; or a university degree in any field with a specialization in Information Technology.
  • Oracle Certified Professional – Java SE Programmer (version 5 or higher)
  • CSD – Certified Scrum Developer
  • PSD – Professional Scrum Developer
  • Knowledge of financial systems development.
  • Principles and practices of agile software development, including the Agile Manifesto, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP) and Kanban;
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery and DevOps practices;
  • Experience with continuous integration tools: Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Nexus, Azure DevOps Services (ADS);
  • Knowledge and experience in Configuration and Change Management discipline, using Clearcase, SVN and Git;
  • Analysis and specification of functional, non-functional and agile requirements;
  • Design patterns and programming best practices;
  • Enterprise systems integration;
  • Microservices architecture and development: tracing, APIs, fault tolerance, metrics, health checks;
  • Development with Docker containers and Kubernetes;
  • Migration of monolithic systems to microservices;
  • Relational data modeling;
  • Layered application architecture and MVC model;
  • Responsive interfaces;
  • System integration: Messaging, JMS, Web services, Service Bus (WebSphere Message Broker), REST, SOA, EJB 3;

  • Java Swing application programming;

  • User Experience (UX) and usability concepts;

  • Building simulators such as mocks/stubs for interface simulation and virtualization;

  • Multi-tenant application architecture;
  • Linux operating system; static code analysis with SonarQube;
  • Refactoring web applications with emphasis on migrating rules from the front-end to the back-end;
  • Reverse engineering;
  • Transaction management via Container-Managed Transactions (CMT);
  • Building database queries in SQL;

  • Programming skills in the MUMPS language;

  • Experience developing with message routing using the ISO 8583 standard (ISO8583:1987);
  • Development in financial technology areas: J/XFS (CWA and FDI): CWA-13937:2000 and FDI 2.1.3b or higher, integrating peripherals such as cryptographic PinPad (EMV chip and magnetic stripe card, PIN pad and display), receipt printers, scanners with CMC7 and barcode readers, and smartcards;
  • Experience developing with cryptography;
