About the role

Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS) environments
- Create, modify, and maintain: Jobs, Job Streams, Workstations, Calendars, and dependencies
- Monitor and proactively manage the execution of batch workflows
- Analyze and handle job failures and critical job chains
- Perform controlled reprocessing and adjustments to the current schedule
- Use tools such as Composer, conman, and Dynamic Workload Console (DWC)
- Ensure compliance with operational SLAs
- Respond to production incidents and problems
- Support project requests, improvements, and automation initiatives
- Document workflows, procedures, and operational runbooks
Requirements
- Solid experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/TWS) – Distributed
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments (AIX, RHEL, Oracle Linux, or similar)
- Experience with shell scripting (bash/ksh) for creating and analyzing jobs
- Familiarity with log analysis, permissions, processes, and filesystems
- Experience working in production environments with 24x7 operations
- Knowledge of monitoring and operational support
- Basic SQL skills for validations and support of batch loads
- Experience with: Dynamic Workload Console (DWC); Windows environments and PowerShell; database integration (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL); batch processes for financial, insurance, or other regulated systems
- Experience in automation and operational improvements
