- Responsible for managing a running BOM with a Plan for Every Part
- Defining the manufacturing build plans and supporting the design development for the best route to realization
- Leading the manufacturing definition and execution of Cryogenic Power distribution system demonstrator
- Support the development of the manufacturing engineering definitions aligned to product design
- Working with the program and engineering specialists to help identify and plan production & prototyping activities
- Ensure the BoM has a Plan for Every Part and necessary governance around MRL and manufacturing buy-in
- Codifying the developed processes within the programs
- Liaising with suppliers to capture their best manufacturing approach
- Using MBD to modernise the concurrent engineering lifecycle to be more Model Based Engineering compliant.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree in relevant engineering discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant experience gained within manufacturing or ME
- Able to write manufacturing specifications, understand GD&T and detail drawings
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes
- Experience in weights accountancy and mass balance calculations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills including technical report writing.
- Catia V5 conversant (or similar CAD package) with PDLM Knowledge
- APQP level of Process control understanding (Desirable)
- Experience in PO & contract writing/comprehension
- BoM management and supplier data management experience
- Familiarity with cryogenic design standards and processes
- Experience in developing MBSE methodologies and Engineering tools
- Practical hands on type with ability to be agile and dynamic as the situation requires.
