As a Country Compliance & Data Protection Manager at Givaudan, oversee compliance activities and data protection laws. Key liaison for legal standards and training within the organization.
Responsibilities
Lead Compliance & Data Protection activities across all legal entities in the country, reporting to the Finance Manager France
Implement, operate and maintain all elements of the Compliance Management System to meet applicable legal (e.g., Sapin II) and regulatory requirements, align with industry best practices, and maintain required documentation
Manage the rollout and implementation of global Compliance policies across all legal entities in the country and monitor adherence to these policies and procedures
Develop local Compliance policies as required
Prepare the country annual Compliance risk assessment and provide analysis and reporting
Monitor completion rates of Compliance trainings and facilitate Compliance training sessions
Communicate on compliance matters and respond to compliance inquiries within the country
Manage customer requests regarding acceptance of their Supplier Codes of Conduct and issue reservation letters for all legal entities in the country
Support the Group Compliance team with Third-Party Due Diligence requests
Investigate compliance allegations within the country
Assist and co-lead special projects as required
Oversee compliance with Data Protection laws and regulations
Implement Data Protection policies and train employees
Serve as the point of contact for local authorities (CNIL) and manage any inquiries or investigations
Conduct regular audits to identify potential risks related to the management of personal data
Build constructive and effective relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Support and collaborate closely with the Group Compliance team and the Group Data Protection team based at Givaudan Headquarters in Switzerland
Communicate effectively with internal partners (Company Managers, Finance Managers, HR Managers, EHS/Sustainability team, Legal team, Data Protection Officer)
Proactively work to continuously improve processes
Requirements
University or college degree (preferably in Law or Finance)
Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in Compliance, Data Protection, and Internal Audit within an international environment
Fluent in French and English
Ability to achieve high-quality standards, strong attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
Strong project management, planning and organizational skills
Ability to manage conflicts and negotiate successfully in diverse environments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Service-oriented mindset that brings value to the organization
Ability to work independently and commitment to continuous personal development
Experience with SAP ERP and strong knowledge of MS Office
