About the role

  • Lead the PMO and Project Controls for high-voltage substation projects at GE Vernova. Integrate risk management and ensure project delivery on-time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Combines the Regional Project Management Office and Risk Management Role with the Regional Project Controls role
  • The PMO & Risk Leader will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization
  • Manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise
  • Be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy
  • Drive common methodology, processes, and expertise globally
  • Promote the project management culture and execution excellence
  • Support the Project Schedule & Cost management of GSI’s projects
  • Build a logical and feasible schedule that meets customer objectives
  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate potential schedule and cost overrun risks
  • Perform schedule delay analysis to help GSI win extension of time claims
  • Provide financial and technical leadership for the Risk Management team
  • Lead efforts to automate modeling processes and analytical tools
  • Ensure compliance to Global Standards for planning and cost control in the region
  • Collaborate and align with other regional function leaders and across Business Lines

Requirements

  • Solid relevant experience in high‑voltage substation project engineering
  • BS in Engineering preferred
  • Solid experience in project management or Operations or Project Controls for complex project organization
  • Deep domain knowledge of planning and use of Primavera
  • Proven communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability in developing and implementing strategies to accomplish business goals
  • High-energy, self-motivated, confident leader willing to take on responsibilities across geographic and business boundaries
  • Proven knowledge and experience of Project cost control and forensic analysis on large complex turnkey projects.
  • Strong process, execution and operational skills
  • Ability to coach & influence peers
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to interact effectively at executive level.
  • Advanced English, advanced Portuguese, and desirable Spanish.
