About the role

  • Contracts Administrator managing federal contracts at Competitive Range. Ensuring compliance, administrative support, and collaboration with finance and program management.

Responsibilities

  • Support post-award contract administration activities, including contract intake, file establishment, tracking, and closeout
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready contract files
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and processing of contract modifications, funding actions, option exercises, and other contractual actions
  • Monitor periods of performance, funding status, deliverables, reporting requirements, and key contractual milestones
  • Support the preparation, issuance, and administration of subcontracts, teaming agreements, and related contractual instruments
  • Coordinate routine administrative communications with subcontractors
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with FAR, agency supplements, and internal policies
  • Support audits and government data calls by compiling and validating contract documentation
  • Serve as an administrative point of contact for routine contract and subcontract inquiries
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative controls within the Contracts function.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in contract and/or subcontract administration within the government contracting industry
  • Familiarity with government invoicing, contract modifications, and task order management
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal contracts in a post-award environment
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and general government contracting principles
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with contract management systems preferred
  • A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in fields such as accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
