About the role

  • Analyst managing financial modeling and due diligence for energy infrastructure investments. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting findings to the Investment Committee.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial modeling and valuation analysis for new investments, including project-level cash flow models, debt sizing, and returns analysis across the full capital stack
  • Execute due diligence on infrastructure assets, drawing on financial statements, third-party reports, and market data
  • Support structuring and negotiation of project finance debt, tax equity, and equity investments across distributed and behind-the-meter energy transactions
  • Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to Generate's Investment Committee
  • Manage deal execution workstreams, coordinating across legal, technical, and financial advisors
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Capital Markets, Legal, FP&A, Accounting, and Asset Operations teams to support transaction execution and portfolio management
  • Support business development and ongoing relationship management with developers, lenders, and strategic partners
  • Support portfolio monitoring by collaborating with the Asset Operations and Portfolio Finance teams on asset-level performance and reporting
  • Stay current on energy market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging financing structures

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in project finance, infrastructure M&A, structured finance, or a related role at a bank, advisory firm, IPP, developer, or asset manager
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including experience building and stress-testing project-level cash flow models
  • Familiarity with infrastructure financing structures - including term loans, tax equity, and back-leverage - and the diligence process for each
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously in a transaction context Clear and compelling communicator, both in writing and in presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial and ownership-oriented; comfortable making judgment calls with incomplete information
  • Excited by the pace and variety of an IPP/operator environment relative to a traditional banking or advisory role
  • High intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in the energy transition
  • Collaborative leadership style with strong judgment under ambiguity.
