About the role

  • Electro Engineer developing future paper processing machines at GARANT. Involves software architecture design and innovative control concepts in R&D.

Responsibilities

  • Actively shaping the future of paper processing machines within the Research & Development department
  • Integrating new concepts, sensors, motion control systems and modern user-interface concepts into machine control
  • Designing software architectures and selecting appropriate approaches for modular, maintainable and scalable solutions
  • Developing tools and utilities — e.g., in Python or C# — that facilitate development and commissioning processes
  • Ensuring smooth technical coordination and collaboration between R&D, process engineering and the software department

Requirements

  • Degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable qualification
  • Strong experience in PLC programming, preferably with Siemens TIA Portal
  • Good knowledge of special-purpose machinery as well as industrial sensor and measurement technology
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages, software architectures and version control systems
  • Enjoys diving deeply into control systems and analyzing the interaction between physical systems and software
